Notes
The T2/PD scan was originally tentatively included as a standard protocol in diagnostic imaging for the detection of some pathologies. Consultation with research experts concluded it has little or no value to the research questions UK Biobank is likely to investigate. Further, the b=0 dMRI scans can to some extent be used as a surrogate for this. Hence in the face of overall scan time pressure, the T2/PD scan was dropped from the protocol during the pilot.
