About
Inflammation-related diseases are major public health problem worldwide, including infection diseases (such as pneumonia), autoimmune diseases (such as asthma, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), inflammation-related cancer (such as lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, liver cancer, urinary tract cancer!and so on), other inflammation-related diseases (such as kidney stone disease), etc., and caused a majority of global disease burden. Although some of observational studies analyzed the associations of lifestyles, environmental exposures, and psychological factors with inflammation-related diseases outcome or etiology, the causal relationships between some of them remain largely unknown. As we know, there are common involvements of environmental and genetic factors in inflammation-related diseases, so we aim to reveal the interactions between external factors and genetic susceptibility in inflammation-related diseases. In sum, we we would like to use the data from UK Biobank to reveal the relationships of epidemiology, lifestyles, environmental exposures, and psychological factors, genetic and inflammation-related diseases, which can be used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatments of inflammation-related diseases.
