About
Noncommunicable diseases are the result of a combination of genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioral factors, but their etiology remains limited. In the next three years, we will interrogate genomics data, metabolomics data, and environmental factors to better illustrate the molecular mechanism underlying these noncommunicable diseases. Findings from our study could help identify individuals at high risk for active monitoring and intervention. In addition, our findings could provide epidemiological evidence for the novel drug targets of noncommunicable diseases.
