About
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death. Early detection, diagnosis and intervention could contribute to lower the risk and death of cardiovascular disease. Although significant progress has been made in cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment, the incidence and mortality are still increasing. Besides, cardiovascular system plays an essential role in the overall health, but it is largely unclear if cardiovascular features are related to the risk of specific health-related outcomes. Therefore, in this project, we aim to explore the novel risk factors and therapeutic targets of cardiovascular disease to provide scientific evidence for personalized strategy of prevention and treatment; we also aim to investigate the role of cardiovascular features (e.g., clinical features, imaging features and biomarkers) in health-related outcomes, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, mortality, and so on.
