About
Chronic diseases are rarely caused by a single risk factor; instead, they result from a complex interplay of multiple risk factors (environmental and host factors), including both genetic and non-genetic elements. These factors often interact and correlate with one another, complicating the development of targeted prevention strategies. This project aims to explore the independent contributions of various environmental and host factors to the onset and progression of chronic diseases, while also examining the potential interactions between these factors. The ultimate objective is to generate high-quality research that will support personalized prevention strategies for chronic diseases, targeting both the general population (primary prevention) and individuals with pre-existing conditions (secondary prevention).
