About
Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a newly defined condition encompassing hepatic steatosis and metabolic dysfunction. However, the relationship between MAFLD and multisystem diseases remains unclear, and the time-dependent sequence of these diseases requires further clarification. Therefore, using disease trajectory analysis will identified a range of increased risks of medical conditions and causes of death for individuals with MAFLD. Developing relevant intervention measures that target these key pathways may benefit the MAFLD population by preventing a decline in general health.
