About
Orthopaedic diseases such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, intervertebral disc diseases and implant failure are troubling more aging population nowadays. However, little is known about their pathogenesis and thus few drugs and therapies have been developed to treat or prevent the occurrence of them. Our research is aimed to explore the effect of environmental factors, lifestyle and genetic susceptibility on the occurrence of these diseases. Logistic regression, Cox regression and GWAS will be held out to calculate the size of effect. With our research, more evidence will be found out to validate the relationship between lifestyle, SNPs and orthopaedic disease. More lifestyle propaganda and detection kit will be developed to prevent the occurrence of these diseases or dianose them at an early stage.
