Abstract
This paper looks at whether higher body mass index and systolic blood pressure are associated with worse cognitive abilities like memory, reasoning, reaction time and/or executive function. We show associations between these factors, and in particular that a range of brain structural features mediate the link, in particular grey matter in the frontal lobes, and white matter hyperintensities, which can be a marker of brain vascular health.
